Hiking from Here is the title of two books slated to appear soon. One will feature hikes in Idaho, the other, hikes in Washington and Oregon. The books themselves aren't quite ready yet, but the hikes are all written up. They will appear, a few at a time, in the "Hikes" section of this website, the selection changing every couple of weeks.

And when the books are ready, complete with maps and elevation profiles and other general information, you'll find them here, too, along with information on where and how to buy them.

I've been hiking and writing about hiking for almost 20 years now. I started out with a seasonal hiking column for the Lewiston Morning Tribune. My first book, Hike Lewis and Clark's Idaho, was published in 2002.
